Chelsea are hoping to cash in on the club’s £200m sale of no fewer than 10 players who are no longer part of Enzo Maresca’s plans.

The English media reported that Chelsea expect to close the market this summer by sweeping the club’s money to reach 200 million pounds from selling players who are not there or do not play an important role in Enzo Maresca ‘s team plans, which is expected to be no less than 10 players.

This summer, Todd Boehly has continued to spend big, spending more than £160m on nine new signings, including Pedro Neto, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Philip Jorgensen, Marc Guehiu and future stars Aaron Anselmino and Omari Kellyman.

While the outgoings have so far generated around £90m from the sales of Jan Maatsen, Hakim Ziyech, Omari Hutchinson and Lewis Hall, not to mention Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr who have been released on free transfers.

However, what happened has caused Chelsea to have an old problem again, which is the number of senior players in the team that will have to try to offload them from the club in various ways, whether it be selling them outright, sending them on loan or breaking their contracts to be free agents.

The Daily Mail says Chelsea’s aim in the final two weeks of the summer transfer window is to sell off players who are surplus or unimportant to Maresca’s plans in order to bring in around £200m, which will also benefit the club in terms of FFP regulations.

Maresca only wants around 25 players in his squad but currently has over 40, so there will be more than 10 more to be sold and released.

Names that could be released before the summer window closes include Kepa Arrizabalaga, Jorge Petrovic, Trevoh Chalobah, Axel Disasi, Conor Gallagher, Cesare Casadei, Raheem Sterling, Romelu Lukaku, Armando Broja and David Datro Fofana, not to mention a number of youngsters who are available for loan moves.
